June 2016, KnitPurlStitches.com will share with you a new stitch. It's called a Moss Diamond and Lozenge. The stitch pattern is reversible and looks the same on either side. A nice pattern for making baby blanket. (written instructions + chart)
Reversible pattern looks identical on both sides.
Cast on a multiple of 12 stitches.
Rows 1 and 2: Knit 6, purl 6.
Rows 3 and 4: Purl 1, knit 5, purl 5, knit 1.
Rows 5 and 6: Knit 1, purl 1, knit 4, purl 4, knit 1, purl 1.
Rows 7 and 8: Purl 1, knit 1, purl 1, knit 3, purl 3, knit 1, purl 1, knit 1.
Rows 9 and 10: (Knit 1, purl 1) twice, knit 2, purl 2, (knit 1, purl 1) twice.
Rows 11 and 12: (Purl 1, knit 1) 6 times.
Rows 13 and 14: (Knit 1, purl 1) 6 times.
Rows 15 and 16: (Purl 1, knit 1) twice, purl 2, knit 2, (purl 1, knit 1) twice.
Rows 17 and 18: Knit 1, purl 1, knit 1, purl 3, knit 3, purl 1, knit 1, purl 1.
Rows 19 and 20: Purl 1, knit 1, purl 4, knit 4, purl 1, knit 1.
Rows 21 and 22: Knit 1, purl 5, knit 5, purl 1.
Rows 23 and 24: Purl 6, knit 6.
Rows 25 and 26: Purl 5, knit 1, purl 1, knit 5.
Rows 27 and 28: Purl 4, (knit 1, purl 1) twice, knit 4.
